Arenanet Cottage


Here is a look at my final piece, as well as a demonstration of the modular aspects of the model. I tried my best the make the pieces of the house separate so that they could quickly be moved around to make structures with different shapes.

Cali

Joel and I went to Cirque Du Soleil yesterday. There was a lizard man in the show, and I think one of my favorite parts was at the beginning of the show, when the lizard man was climbing around above the audience and throwing popcorn at them.

This is just some practice, Joel was showing me some different painting techniques. I did this based off of one of the pictures in the program we got.

The House

Thought I would post a little work in progress I have been playing around with. Even though it isn't going anymore, I decided to take a stab at the Arenanet environment art test. So far I need to add the dirt texture and plants. Then go back and break up the geometry a little to make it less rigid. Then I need to work on normal and spec maps. I may also go back and fix some things in the diffuse. For instance the rock texture isn't quite doing it for me.

Also, I did my best to make it modular. The idea was to make a lot of the pieces separate so that I can move them around like building blocks and make other structures. We did something similar for the houses on Salvage Youth and I thought it would be fun to try and apply the idea to this model.

The Times


So I have been doing a little life drawing for the last couple of weeks. Thought I would put some of that up.

Also, Joel bought a white board recently, and every morning one of us draws a shape on it. At some point during the day the other person will add to it and draw a picture with the shape. With this last one I did some kind of weird priestess/temple woman and Joel said I should post it.
