It has been awhile since I have posted, but here is a zbrush WIP to make up for it:
At the moment I plan to change the diffuse texture quite a bit once I get it into Photoshop, but for now I feel like I have a really good base going.

Finest Shrine
A project I have been working on for awhile. I am calling it done for now. It's been very interesting working in Cryengine and getting an environment together that I can actually stop and start walking around in.

Silver Fir: Part-Doh
As I promised, here is some more final shots of my tree and some process of what I learned at FuturePoly as well.
After gathering and studying reference, I began by modeling the needles and placing them all along a smaller branch.
Then, projection mapping was used to bake out the diffuse and normals to a texture.
The alpha plane was then brought back into max and shaped to create a variety of branches and pieces to place on a trunk and fill out the tree.
These are some shots of the tree after being taken into CryEngine.

Very very very early look at something I have been working on in Cryengine. It has test textures and everything.

Silver Fir
A quick viewport render of a tree I have been working on. I was going off of a European Silver fir. I will post more about it once I get the jerk working in Cryengine *fist shake*

The FP
I took a 3D FuturePoly class and I enjoyed it a lot. Learned some really great tips and tricks. Here are some rocks I made in Zbrush. Rocks are pretty fun to make. (maybe not as good as trees though..)
